Long March 6 launched five Ningxia-1 remote-sensing satellites

Five new remote-sensing satellites were sent into planned orbit from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in north China's Shanxi Province on 13 November. The five Ningxia-1 satellites were launched by a Long March-6 carrier rocket at 14:35 BJT. The satellites are part of a commercial satellite project invested by the Ningxia Jingui Information Technology Co., Ltd. and will be mainly used for remote sensing detection.

China and Brazil will continue collaborating on space weather research to achieve a deeper understanding of the sun's effects on the space environment surrounding Earth and improve the forecasting of violent solar activities that could harm people and infrastructure, a leading Chinese scientist said.

Mars landing test of the 2020 Mars probe done

14 November 2019
On 14 November, scientists and engineers were simulating the landing of the Chinese Mars 2020 spacecraft on a test area in Huailai County, north China's Hebei Province. It was demonstrated how the lander was suspended in air, descended and avoided collision in a simulated Mars environment. It was the first time for China’s Mars lander to meet the public amid efforts to increase international aerospace cooperation.. Nearly 100 foreign diplomatic envoys to China including France, Italy and Brazil as well as representatives of international organizations (European Union, the African Union and the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization) were invited to view the testing on China’s Mars lander at a base.

China presents satellite data receiving devices to Kyrgyzstan and Mozambique

China Meteorological Administration (CMA) on 15 November presented data receiving equipment of Fengyun-2H meteorological satellite to Kyrgyzstan and Mozambique at the 2019 Fengyun Satellite User Conference held in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province. A user support team has been set up to provide on-site and remote services to international Fengyun satellite users, said Liu Yaming, head of the CMA. China attaches great importance to the promotion of global cooperation and application of the Fengyun satellites and has been strengthening worldwide satellite data sharing and technical training.
