Chang'e 4 resumes work for 12th lunar day

The lander and rover of the Chang'e 4 probe have resumed work for the 12th lunar day on the Far Side of the Moon after "sleeping" through the lunar night. The lander woke up on 21 November at 17:03 Beijing Time, and the Yutu 2 rover awoke at 00:51 Beijing Time the same day. Both are in normal working condition, according to the Lunar Exploration and Space Programme Centre of the China National Space Administration.
In the meanwhile, Yutu 2 has traveled about 319 m on the Moon.

Another two Beidou satellites in orbit

China sent two more satellites of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in Sichuan Province on 23 November at 8:55 h local time. Launched on a Long March-3B carrier rocket, equipped with an Yuanzheng-1 (Expedition-1) upper stage, the two MEO satellites have entered their planned orbits. They are the 50th and 51st satellites of the BDS satellite family and were developed by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of the Chinese Academy of Sciences

The US Congress Needs Facts, Not Hyperbole, on China’s Space Program

The first paragraph of the relevant section includes a sentence that demonstrates why no one, especially the U.S. Congress, should take the commission or its recommendations seriously.

Launch of Ethiopia's 1st Satellite planned for 17 December

Space in Africa online new portal reported that Ethiopia’s first-ever satellite, the 70 kg multi-spectral remote sensing satellite ET-RSS1, is going to be launched by China on 17 December 2019, at 06:21 h Ethiopian Time. The news was disclosed during a joint press briefing by the Ethiopian Minister of innovation and Technology, Dr Getahun Mekuria, and the General Director of Ethiopian Space Science Technology Institute (ESSTI), Dr Solomon Belay on 22 November. The ground station for receiving the satellite's data will be located in Ethiopia at the Entoto space observatory facility.
