China is partner country of MAKS-2019

The Russian International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2019 is held in Zhukovsky, Moscow region, between the 27 August and 1 September 2019. The China Pavilion opened on 27 August, as the event attracted attention from local visitors with some of the most popular exhibits from China. While the China Pavilion features mainly weapons, aircraft, and equipment from nearly 20 companies, also a space achievements are exhibited. China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation showcased the Long March 7 and 11 carrier rockets and Mars probe.

People’s Republic of China acts as the partner country for MAKS-2019. The website of MAKS-2019 was translated into Chinese language. The leading companies of the aerospace industry of PRC are participating in the exhibition program. There will also be a number of business program events in which the focus will be made on international cooperation and the implementation of Chinese-Russian programmes.

LandSpace, a Beijing-based space startup and one of the leading private rocket makers in China, announced on 28 August at the International Aviation and Space Salon 2019 in Russia that it has begun inviting payload partners from around the globe to consider using its ZQ 2 liquid-propellant, medium-lift carrier rocket.

Russia offers rocket engine technology in exchange for Chinese microelectronics

China and Russia are forging stronger ties in space technology with Russia offering to supply rocket engines to China in exchange for Chinese microelectronics, according to the head of Russia’s state space corporation. At the MAKS 2019 Moscow air show on 28 August, Dmitry Rogozin, President of the State Space Corporation Roscosmos, said Russia was also keen to use its rocket technology to launch Chinese satellites.
