Suborbital aerospace plane returns from 1st flight

China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp, carried out the first test flight of a reusable suborbital aerospace plane in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on 16 July. The unnamed prototype was lifted by a carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre and flew for a certain period of time before making a conventional landing at the Alxa Right Banner Airport. The flight test was successful.

By 17 July, Zhurong traveled 509 m

Zhurong has traveled more than 509 m on the surface of the Red Planet as of 17 July, 23:00 BJT. The rover will soon arrive at the second sand dune on its journey and will carry out a detailed survey of the dune and surrounding environment. By 17 July, Zhurong has been operating on the surface of Mars for 63 Martian days. Both the Mars rover Zhurong and Tianwen-1 spacecraft are working in normal conditions.

Another group of Yaogan satellites was launched

On 19 July at at 8:19 BJT, China successfully launched a new Yaogan group of remote-sensing satellites from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The satellites were sent into orbit by a CZ-2C carrier rocket. This is the 10th group belonging to the Yaogan-30 family, and will survey the electromagnetic environment and verify relevant technologies by adopting multi-satellite network mode. Also on board was Tianqi-15, a satellite belonging to the Tianqi constellation, which will serve the Internet of Things data collection.
