China's deep space exploration laboratory launched campus recruitment, aiming to attract more young talents to devote themselves to the country's deep space exploration. A total of 36 posts in computing, automation, aircraft, and artificial intelligence are open. Co-established by the CNSA, Anhui Province, and the University of Science and Technology of China, the laboratory is headquartered in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui. It started operation in June 2022.

A Chinese group analyzed lunar samples returned by the CE-5 mission and proposed a new mechanism for how young volcanos took shape on the cooling Moon 2 billion years ago. Scientists previously speculated that the elevated water content or radioactive elements in the lunar interior might have driven volcanism in the late stage of the Moon's life. But the CE-5 data found its mantle source region both dry and lacking in heat-producing substance.

Carbon dioxide monitoring satellite TanSat, launched in 2016, has produced its 1st batch of human-caused carbon dioxide emission (CO2) signatures, offering a scientific basis for the country's efforts to combat global warming. The journal Advances in Atmospheric Sciences published a paper which introduces the first attempt to detect anthropogenic CO2 emission signatures using CO2 observations from TanSat and NO2 measurements from the TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI) onboard the Copernicus Sentinel-5 Precursor (S5P) satellite. The analysis focusses on 2 selected cases in Tangshan, China and Tokyo, Japan. It was found that the TanSat XCO2 measurements have the capability to capture the anthropogenic variations in the plume and have spatial patterns similar to that of the TROPOMI NO2 observations.

The Mengtian space lab module and its CZ-5B carrier rocket were moved to a service tower in the morning of 25 October to undergo final tests before their planned flight in the coming days, according to the CMSA. The agency said in a brief news release that prelaunch preparation work is underway at the Wenchang Space Launch Centre on Hainan island.
