On 07 October at 21:10 BJT, the CentiSpace S5 and CentiSpace S6 test satellites were launched on board a CZ-11 from an offshore platform in the Yellow Sea. Both satellites are fitted with a LEO satellite navigation enhancement system. The satellites will be used to monitor the performance of the global navigation satellite system in real time, and carry out navigation augmentation and inter-satellite laser communication tests.

China sent a solar exploration satellite into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre, furthering the country's scientific endeavor to unravel the mysteries of the Sun. The Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S), nicknamed Kuafu-1 in Chinese, was launched aboard a CZ-2D rocket on 09 October at 07:43 BJT and entered its planned 720 km orbit successfully. After 4 to 6 months of testing, the 859-kg satellite will start normal operation to study the causality between the solar magnetic field and solar flares and coronal mass ejections, providing data support for space weather forecasting.

The National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC) recently published the first batch of large-field X-ray maps of the sky captured by the lobster-eye telescope, or the Lobster Eye Imager for Astronomy (LEIA). The LEIA, launched into space in late July, is a large-field X-ray imaging telescope. It is expected that with the "lobster eye," people will be able to efficiently observe the mysterious transient phenomena in the universe.

The Shenzhou 14 taikonauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe will livestream a science lecture from the Wentian lab module on 12 October. The crew will give an introduction of the lab module, conduct micro-gravity performances of sci-tech experiments, and give a presentation of in-orbit plant growth research. The 3 space teachers will also interact with students on Earth during the class, which is aimed at popularizing the knowledge of manned space flights and encouraging young people to develop an interest in science.
