A few days after Yuanwang 6, also Yuanwang 5 returned to its homeport on 24 June, after completing maritime space monitoring missions for the launch of Tianhe and Tianzhou 2. YW-5 was since 20 April on sail. During 66 days the crew has navigated more than 15,000 nautical miles. After docking at the port, crew members will examine the facilities and replenish supplies for upcoming missions.

Qi Faren, 1st Chief Designer of the Shenzhou manned spacecraft, gave aerospace enthusiasts a face-to-face talk at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 23 June. A delegation of the nation's top-level aerospace scientists and engineers arrived in the city. Qi's lecture is the first public event of the exchange visit.
The same day, Hu Hao, Chief Designer of China's 3rd-phase lunar exploration programme, shared his experience with over 100 young students, scientific researchers and scholars at the University of Hong Kong.

Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke in the morning of 23 June with the 3 taikonauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo on board of the core module of the to-become Chinese Space Station - CSS. President Xi held the conversation from the Beijing Aerospace Control Centre. He warmly greeted the taikonauts on behalf of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, the CMC, and people of all ethnic groups in the country. "You are the first astronauts stationed in the core module Tianhe and will stay in space for three months," Xi said during the video call. "We all care about you very much."
