China sends nine satellites into orbit by sea launch

A Long March-11 carrier rocket successfully sent 9 satellites of the Jilin-1 Gaofen 03-1 group into planned orbit from a floating platform in the Yellow Sea on 15 September at 9:23 BJT. The satellites were developed by the Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd.
Three of the satellites will be used for video imaging, one of which is for China's popular video sharing platform Bilibili and another for the state broadcaster CCTV. The other six satellites are push-broom imaging satellites. The launch was conducted under the responsibility of the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre.

Mynaric withdraws from China to serve security interests of its core markets

Mynaric announced on 30 July that will not launch its Condor laser communication terminal for inter-satellite connectivity on board a Chinese spacecraft. It said in a statement on its website: ... to cease its business activities in China. Mynaric, having not delivered any laser communication hardware to China to date, will start at once to extricate itself from ongoing, but as yet uncompleted, transactions with customers in China. Having realized the strategic importance of laser communication Mynaric was already well into a monetized divestment plan from the Chinese market through a buy-out which has now stopped."

Satellite to offer new experience for Bilibili users

Among the nine satellites lifted by the Long March 11 carrier rocket's sea-based mission on 15 September, one has drawn more attention than others as it will strive to entertain users of one of the most popular Chinese websites. The 42-kilogram Bilibili Video Satellite is tasked with observing Earth and other celestial bodies as well as taking videos and pictures at an altitude of 535 kilometers.
