Yutu 2 has set the record for operating the longest among rovers on the moon, with over 11 months so far, according to the Lunar Exploration and Space Programme Centre of the CNSA. Before Yutu 2, the Soviet Union's Lunokhod 1 Moon rover that landed on the Moon in 1970 held the record for the longest operational rover with 321 days, or 10 and half months. Chang'e 4's lander and the rover are in their 12^th dormancy.
