3rd group of Yaogan 35 satellites launched

On 29 July at 21:28 BJT, China successfully launched the 3rd group of Yaogan 35 satellites from Xichang Satellite Launch Centre. The remote sensing satellites took off on board a CZ-2D and entered the planned orbit. The satellites will be mainly used to conduct scientific experiments, land resource surveys, agricultural product yield estimation, and disaster prevention and reduction.

EU SST confirms re-entry of space object CZ-5B

The EU Space Surveillance and Tracking (EU SST) has monitored the re-entry of large space object CZ-5B (2022-085B), launched on 24 July 2022. The EU SST network of sensors observed the object closely, and its radars have narrowed down its re-entry window to 30 July. According to the update from 2022-07-30 21:50 UTC+2 EU SST reported: Based on external information, EU SST confirms that object CZ-5B decayed on 2022-07-30 16:45 UTC ±15 minutes.
It was not immediately clear where the debris impacted the ground. There were unconfirmed reports of a location East of Borneo/Malaysia or even close to the coast of the island at 3.4 latitude, 113 longitude.

CMSA said in a brief statement that re-entry occurred at 00:55 BJT (16:55 UTC), noting the touchdown site is in waters [of the Sulu Sea, Philippines] located at 9.1°N and 119.0°E. It did not provide additional details.
BDS-3 short message communication per mobile phone

The short message communication service provided by the BeiDou-3 Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3) progressed from industrial application to public application. During a conference held at 30 July in Beijing, achievements related to the BDS-3 short message communication services were revealed. The service covers China and its neighbouring countries and regions, with low costs, wide coverage and high reliability. The short message service can effectively supplement the ground mobile communication network and satisfy the demand for emergency communication and search and rescue work in areas without ground network coverage.

Hong Kong Student received letter from Tiangong space station

Chen Man-lin, a 15-year-old Hong Kong student, participated in a national campaign of writing to astronauts in the Tiangong space station in a campaign called "Bring my dream to Tiangong". SZ-14 taikonaut Chen Dong responded to her letter with a 3-page answer. Along with the letter, Chen Dong also recorded a video in the space station to share the student's letter and his reply.
