China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation CASC has revealed its long-term roadmap for rocket development up to 2045 in support of the country's space exploration program. CASC plans a fleet of nuclear carrier rockets and reusable hybrid-power carriers by the mid-2040s. They will be ready for regular, large scale interplanetary flights, and carrying out commercial exploration and exploitation of natural resources by the mid-2040s.

China's domestically developed navigation satellite system Beidou has been included in a global network that collects and distributes data for search and rescue missions, the Chinese Ministry of Transport said on 23 November. Beidou will be part of the International Cospas-Sarsat Programme, a nonprofit, intergovernmental and humanitarian cooperative with 44 members, including the United States, Canada, Russia and China.

China launched remote sensing satellites on 25 November at 2:10 am, Beijing Time, on a Long March-2C rocket from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The satellites have entered the preset orbit and the launching mission was proclaimed a success. The satellites will conduct electromagnetic probes and other experiments.

The landmark breakthrough on intercontinental quantum-encrypted communications made by Chinese scientists opens the window for global quantum communications, turning the once-doubted quantum phenomena into reality, a world leading quantum physicist Anton Zeilinger told Xinhua. Zeilinger is seen as a pioneer in the field of quantum information and of the foundations of quantum mechanics.
