CASIC's commercial subsidiary prepares Wuhan-manufactured rocket for launch

The first locally manufactured commercial launch vehicle in Wuhan is now undergoing final-stage testing and is ready for launch soon. Preparations have been completed on four new rockets which are awaiting orders for launch. The first of the Wuhan-manufactured launch vehicles will be codenamed Xinzhou after its birthplace in Wuhan's Xinzhou district, sources with the Kuaizhou Rocket Complex at the Wuhan National Aerospace Industrial Base told the Global Times.

Rice seedlings returned with Chang'e 5 were planted into the field

Rice seeds which traveled more than 760,000 kilometers to the Moon in November 2020 and returned to Earth after 23 days of flight aboard Chang'e 5 lunar probe were transplanted from its greenhouse breeding station to experimental field on 29 March of the National Engineering Research Center of Plant Space Breeding of South China Agricultural University (SCAU).

NASA exchanged data with China on Mars orbiters

Jeff Foust reports for SpaceNews that "NASA sought congressional approval to talk with Chinese counterparts and obtain information on the orbit of China’s new Mars spacecraft, a move intended to lower the risk of a collision with other Mars orbiters." NASA got the ephemeris data from Tianwen 1 what enabled Mars conjunction analysis.
