China to launch new GPS rival satellites ‘accurate to within millimetres’, website says

China plans to launch its most powerful positioning and navigational satellites later this month, according to an aerospace website, with their makers claiming the technology is accurate to within millimetres. Two Beidou-3 satellites are expected to be launched on 29 September 29, the website 91fly.cn reported, with developers saying the system was 10 times more precise than GPS.

AsiaSat planning small HTS satellite to cover China

SpaceNews is reporting that Hong Kong-based fleet operator AsiaSat is interested in buying a high-throughput satellite for servicing the Chinese market.
AsiaSat wants to have this satellite - AsiaSat 10 - operational within 36 months, meaning to be placed into orbit by 2020.

Following evaluating Iran's space achievements, General Secretary of Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization said that the Islamic Republic is ready for Space Development Programme. “With respect to the achievements of the government of Iran, we in APSCO are prepared to exchange our findings with one another,” said Secretary-General Li Xinjun who has traveled to Tehran in order to attend the 11th APSCO Summit.
