Professor Yang Yuguang of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation talked with CGTN's Elaine Reyes about the latest achievements, and future prospects, of China's space programme. He summarised the status of Chang'e 4, including the known facts about the substance found by Yutu 2. Prof. Yuguang congratulated India on the accomplishments with Chandrayaan 2. At the end of the interview he briefly touched on the topic of Chinese private space efforts.

Pakistan committed to send its first astronaut by 2022 with support by China

Pakistan plans to send its first astronaut to space by 2022 with the help of its close ally China, Minister for Science and Technology has said. The selection process for the astronaut would start in 2020, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said on 15 September. China would collaborate with Pakistan in its space mission, Fawad was quoted as saying by the News International reported.
