CNSA released its first batch of 8K ultra-high-definition (UHD) photos captured by taikonauts. They show views of space, Earth and spacecraft. On the occassion of the 14th BRICS Summit, CNSA reiterated that BRICS cooperation for joint observation and data sharing with a network of remote sensing satellites is about to start. This year, the 1st meeting of the Joint Commission on Space Cooperation of the BRICS countries took place. It was hosted by CNSA, as China is the 2022 BRICS chair. The intention is to start the BRICS satellite constellation still this year. According to CNSA, China envisions a 2-stage development plan for the BRICS remote sensing satellite cooperation. The primary stage is a virtual constellation of 5 satellites - one from each member countries. The 2nd stage will see a more coordinated cooperation in accordance with space development plans of each member countries. The countries will jointly formulate satellite constellation standards and coordinate satellite condition and data transmission ports to achieve a more unified data product and services - which would mark the construction stage of a real constellation.

Tianxing 1 test satellite was launched by a Kuaizhou 1A carrier rocket at 10:08 BJT from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre. It entered the planned orbit. Tianxing 1 is mainly used for experiments such as space environment detection, CASIC reported in a press release.

On 23 June, at 10:22 BJT, a CZ-2D launched 3 new remote sensing satellites from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre. The satellites were launched as the 2nd batch of the Yaogan-35 family and entered the planned orbit successfully. The satellites will be mainly used to conduct science experiments, land resource surveys, yield estimation of agricultural products and disaster prevention and reduction.

The Shenzhou 13 crew was awarded medals for their service to China's space endeavors on 21 June. Zhai Zhigang, the mission commander, and Wang Yaping, the 1st female on China's space station, were honored with 2nd-class aerospace achievement medals, while Ye Guangfu received a 3rd-class medal and the honorary title "heroic astronaut." The awards were given by the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission.
