CHINA'S Chang'e 5 lunar probe is expected to land in the Mons Rumker region, and to take moon samples back to Earth at the end of the year, according to Liu Jizhong, Director of China Lunar Exploration and Space Engineering Center of China National Space Administration (CNSA). The probe landing site is an isolated volcanic formation located in the northwest part of the Moon's near side.

The Director of the International Cooperation Department of China National Space Administration CNSA Xu Yansong stated that the third launch of the carrier rocket Long March 5 with the satellite Chang'e-5 will take place in the end of November, approximately on November 30.
