A closed-door workshop on the International Lunar Research Station ILRS was held in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong Province on 27 September. The event was jointly hosted by CNSA and Roscosmos. Experts from France, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, UNOOSA, ESA, and the APSCO have conducted a seminar on the declaration of the International Lunar Research Station, according to the communications centre of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for Nation Defense on 27 September.

A Chinese experimental satellite sent into space on 27 September has experienced abnormalities, and space engineers are investigating the cause. The satellite was launched at 16:20 Beijing Time on a Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The satellite entered the planned orbit but showed abnormalities during flight.

At the ongoing 13th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, CASC exhibited the new DFH-3E small GEO satellite platform. Compatible with low-cost launch vehicles, the product is suitable for markets of small and medium-sized countries which need their own communication satellites but have low or limited funds. It is also fitting with demands from satellite operators who need to test new services or expand their services. The first DFH-3E satellite has passed the critical design review and its product development work is underway. It is scheduled to be launched in 2022.
