The "Long March 7" rocket has arrived at the harbor in the city of Wenchang after a 6-day journey at sea from Tianjin. What distinguishes it, is a brand new power system. Also, as Wang Xiaojun,Director General of the Long March 7 carrier rocket project from China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology explains, big challenges comes from the climate in Hainan. "We have to deal with the high temperatures, high humidity and the salty mist, while the high humidity poses the biggest challenge. The temperature of liquid oxygen is kept at minus 183 degrees Celsius. After filling it into the propellant, the low temperature together with the moist air will cause condensation and the rocket will be covered with dew." The rocket is expected to be the main rocket used in the transporting of cargo for China's planned space station.
